Fire Pits, a geat addition to your backyard patio!

3' diameter x 15" tall custom stained Ledgerstone wood burning fire pit

We install two types of fire pits, wood or gas. Both of them will provide you with a fire, but there are a few key differences. Some people prefer the smell of real wood burning in their fire pit, as it makes them feel like they are around a campfire. Perfect for those who like to gather wood, live in a wooded area and don't mind cleaning up ashes.  A gas fire pit, on the other hand, is lot easier and eviromentally friendly. There is no wood to gather, ashes to clean, smoke in your face and you won't smell like a campfire when you leave.

We custom make all our concrete fire pits and stain them to match your patio. The sizes vary from a  4' diameter x 15" tall, to a 3' diameter x 15" tall to a 44" diameter x 6" tall. There are many styles to choose from and they all can be viewed at Other shapes and sizes are available upon request. See above link to see our custom-made 3'x5' natural gas fire pit with Turquoise fire glass, a true eye catcher!

All of our fire pits are constructed with a high strength concrete mix and reinforced with #3 and #4 rebar at 6" on center each way (above and beyond industry standards). Our wood burning fire pits are lined with fire brick while our gas fired fire pits come with a stainless steel fire ring, fire glass and a key for the manual shut off valve. All fire pits are installed on #57 limestone with 4" draintile to drain all water and pop out if needed.

Sanitary, easy to Maintain Floors!!

Carpet, VCT & tile removed after basement flooded!

Nothing is worse than a basement flooding and having to remove carpet or other non-seamless flooring systems. Any moisture in a non-seamless floor acts as a breeding ground for germs/mold/mildew/fungus/e-coli etc.... We are not talking just about carpet, we are talking about vct, tile and any flooring system that does not have a solid topcoat on it. Even unsealed concrete is subject to moisture intrusion. You can stain, overlay or install an epoxy on concrete and apply a topcoat to make it a seamless floor that is easy to maintain and sanitary for your familiy's well being. Contact us and visit our website to see how we can transform your basement or any other floor into a sanitary, easy to maintain, piece of art!

In the above photos we stained the basement floor with Kolour Dyes. Gold, Burnt Sienna, Mahogany and Chocolate Brown were used along with 2 coats water-based sealer and 2 coats of wax. This floor is maintained by simply dust mopping with a micro fiber mop and re-waxing pending on foot traffic, every 3 months, to every year.

Advantages of Decorative Concrete

Typical problems with paver patios!

Gone are the days of high maintenance, high cost paver & natural stone patios and decks for that matter. Today's concrete can be transformed with a variety of colors and textures. Concrete stamping, stenciling and staining are all economical ways of achieving a high-end look that mimics the above while at the same time providing a virtually maintenance-free product.  No weeds to pull, ants to kill or uneven substrates to worry about.  Simply pressure wash and reseal every 2-3 years and your concrete will look as good as new!

Durability -  With the proper base, expansion
joints, reinforcement and mix, your pad will stay

together and survive our toughest winters.
Versatility - Besides patios, walks & drives, concrete can be used for countertops, fire pits, walls, water features, furniture....etc..
Design Flexibility - With the right forms, any shape, texture and color you desire can be achieved.
Maintenance - Being a solid surface, regular washing and resealing every 2-3 years will keep concrete looking new for decades.
Economy - When compared to pavers, natural stone and decks, decorative concrete is more cost effective.

With all the hours people work these days, the last thing they want to do is relay pavers, pull weeds or spray weed and ant killer. Ants love the sand in between pavers and before you know it they will find their way into your house.
